Avery Parker · Principal

A local practice that still does the work.

Diversified Tech Solutions is Avery Parker’s firm. Incident response, managed IT, networks, fractional leadership, and the websites that bring work in the door — with one person who will still pick up.

How long this has actually been going on

Computer support and repair started in the early 1990s. Networking and security in the late 1990s. Linux server administration around 2000. The web, hosting, and search work grew up next to that stack — not as a side hustle invented last year.

That is the point for a twelve-thousand-dollar incident or a monthly vCISO: you are not buying a logo and a junior. You are buying someone who has already lived through the generations of this work — desktops, domains, firewalls, 365, and the Linux boxes that still run the sites.

Office at 4100 North Roan Street, Suite 208, Johnson City, TN 37604 (map). Hours: Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Eastern; after-hours incident response by phone. Onsite in Upper East Tennessee (Johnson City, Kingsport, Bristol, Greeneville, Elizabethton, Jonesborough, Erwin) and Western North Carolina (Asheville, Weaverville, Mars Hill, Hendersonville). Remote for incident response, WordPress, Linux, and Microsoft 365 anywhere we can reach the systems. Email avery@diversifiedtechsolutions.com.

This is a principal practice, not a 40-person bench. Scheduled work is booked. Incidents jump the queue. If Avery is already on a site, you hear that on the first call.

What “principal practice” means in practice

You get Avery Parker on the phone and on the work. There is no account manager translating. There is also no second shift in another country. Scheduled work is booked. Incidents jump the queue. If he is already in a closet in Kingsport, you hear that before you wait.

That honesty is the offer. Companies that need a 12-person bench and a NOC wall should hire a regional MSP and, if they want, use us as local hands or a fractional CIO / CISO next to that MSP.

The work that grew up together

Desks and repair in the early ’90s. Networks and security when small offices first put a server in a closet. Linux when the web stopped being a brochure and started being the business. Hosting, search, and the local directory work (Tri-Cities TN Guide, Trileaf) sat next to that stack the whole time. Fractional leadership is the same person looking at the same environment — budget and risk, not a new logo.

Onsite business IT work

Who does the work

Diversified Tech Solutions is Avery Parker’s practice. You get the principal, not a rotating bench.

Experience you can date

  • Early 1990s — computer support and repair
  • Late 1990s — networking and security
  • Around 2000 — Linux server administration
  • Web, hosting, and search alongside the infrastructure work ever since

Local and accountable

Office at 4100 North Roan Street, Suite 208, Johnson City, TN 37604. Onsite across the Tri-Cities and Western North Carolina. You talk to Avery, not a tier-1 queue. Retainers are month-to-month. We do not sell you a stack we are paid to push — vendor-neutral advice.

How coverage works (one principal, not a fake bench)

This is Avery Parker’s practice. Scheduled work is booked. Incident response jumps the queue. If he is already on a site, you hear that on the first call — not after you have waited. Partner MSPs get a scoped window in writing. We do not invent a second-shift team we do not have.

How we sit next to people you already have

We work with the IT you already have

If you have an admin, a helpdesk, or an out-of-town MSP, we do not replace them. We sit next to that person: vendors, budget, security program, surge, and someone who can be in the building. Tickets and day-to-day ownership stay where they are unless you ask otherwise.

Out-of-town MSPs

If you already have a provider of record elsewhere, we can be the local hands — onsite, IR surge, firewalls, racks — under your direction. How that engagement works →

Counsel and carriers

If a lawyer or cyber policy is in the picture, we can contain and rebuild alongside them. We do not pretend to be their panel forensic firm unless that is the engagement.

Questions we get

Who shows up if Avery is already on a job?

You hear that on the first call. This is a principal practice, not a 40-person bench. Incidents jump the scheduled queue.

Is this still the same firm as the old WordPress site?

Yes. Same Avery Parker, same Johnson City office, same phones. The redesign is the site — not a new company.
