Managed IT · MSSP

A local MSSP. Not an offshore helpdesk.

Proactive IT and security for businesses in East Tennessee and Western North Carolina — including small shops that need a named engineer, not a national queue. Remote first; onsite when it matters. Also a local bench for MSPs and in-house IT that already own the relationship.

Talk about a package Remote / small-business support For MSPs & in-house IT

Why companies switch to a local MSSP

National providers are fine until you need someone who knows the building, the line-of-business app, and the person who still has the only copy of the QuickBooks file. We design support for small businesses through mid-size offices — a five-person shop and a 150-person company both get a named engineer and a security stack that is not theater. Most tickets are remote; we drive when remote is not enough.

  • Business desktop, server, and Microsoft 365 support
  • Endpoint protection and patching
  • Server, network, and uptime monitoring
  • Backup design and restore tests
  • Firewalls and wireless (see networks — Ubiquiti, SonicWall, Aruba)
  • Vulnerability scanning and log review on the higher tiers
  • Onsite in Johnson City, Kingsport, Bristol, Greeneville, Elizabethton, Erwin, Asheville, Weaverville, and Mars Hill
Server administration

Built to sit next to the IT you already have

These packages are not a hostile takeover of your helpdesk. If you have an admin or an out-of-town MSP, we layer monitoring, onsite, and security on top of what they already run — or we take the full stack if you do not have that person yet.

We work with the IT you already have

If you have an admin, a helpdesk, or an out-of-town MSP, we do not replace them. We sit next to that person: vendors, budget, security program, surge, and someone who can be in the building. Tickets and day-to-day ownership stay where they are unless you ask otherwise.

How this sits next to vCISO

Managed IT keeps the lights on. A vCISO owns the risk conversation with ownership and counsel. Many clients run both. If you are coming out of an incident, we stabilize first, then put you on the right monthly package.

After an incident

Start with incident response. Do not buy a monthly package on a burning platform.

Already stable

Start with managed IT, then add vCISO if you have insurers, boards, or customers asking harder questions.

Questions we get

We are eight people. Is $175 per user the only option?

That is the published Managed IT rate. A five-to-ten person office is a first-class client. If you only need project help, it is $100/$150 an hour. If you mostly need remote 365 and a named person, start on the remote-support page and we will say which path fits.

What if Avery is on an incident in Asheville?

You hear that on the first call. Scheduled work is booked. Incidents jump the queue. We do not staff a fake bench.

Can this sit next to our admin or our MSP?

Yes. Tickets stay where they are unless you ask otherwise. See the partners page.

Ask for the package that matches headcount, not a brochure.
