Two modes, one toolbar
Public tab
No login required for the basic pass.
- WordPress fingerprints and common hygiene notes
- Mixed-content warnings when an HTTPS page still loads HTTP assets
- Host risk via Google Web Risk / Safe Browsing, only if you configure a key — malware, social engineering, unwanted software. Not a ranking claim.
- Freshness cues: feed dates, a sitemap sample, copyright year, visible time elements. Best effort.
Logged-in wp-admin
When you’re in that site’s dashboard, or the admin bar is on the page.
- Core, plugin, and theme update awareness from what WordPress already shows you
- Red / yellow / green severity when a vulnerability feed is configured
- Clear copy: we only see what your login can already see
What the colors mean
Green — no notable issues in the current mode.
Yellow — updates due, stale signals, or a medium issue.
Red — a critical known issue on a version we could read, or a host flagged by Web Risk.
What it is not
- Not a full malware scanner or a fleet monitor. That work lives in Care and incident operations.
- Not automatic patching.
- Not a Search Console “manual action” reader.
- Not TerraScore.

Privacy, short version
Checks are read-only. Risk lookups call Google Web Risk only when you configure a key and turn them on — and only for the URL you ask to check. Vulnerability lookups send a slug and version to WPScan only when you turn that feed on. We do not scrape Search Console or invent results. Full policy.
Questions
Will this update my plugins?
No. It advises. Care plans are how sites get maintained on purpose.
Does public mode know every plugin version?
Often no. Public sites hide versions. Admin mode is where patch detail lives, and even there the extension only reports what that login can already see.
Chrome and Firefox?
Yes, when the listings are live. The same package loads in both.
